Friday 27th July  2018 2pm  a  Puke Ariki presentation  based on the topic Rebels,rats and Ructions: New Plymouth in the 1840's. It will cover what New Plymouth founders faced such as storms, sickness,and death. It will cover scandals dramas and the characters of early pioneering times.
Meet at the Taranaki Research Centre Puke Ariki.  All welcome.

Friday 5th August 2022 CHANGE OF DATE - Beach Street Hall, Fitzroy 1.30pm followed by afternoon tea. CHANGE OF SPEAKER
Len Jury was to share information regarding Bernard Aris (1887 to 1977), a local icon and prolific painter who lived in New Plymouth. Len received one of his paintings as a wedding present.

The new speaker will be Derek Baker from the Waitara Railway Preservation Society with a history of rail in Taranaki.

Derek will now speak on the new date of 5th August, as he is isolating this week.

We would also like to advise that Mel Harper passed away on 27 June 2022. Mel was an active member of the branch and served on the committee andas branch president for four years.

Tane Webster, the branch's newest and youngest member received his membership certificate from the National President, Alan de la Mare, at the AGM held in Wanganui in June 2022.
