Wellington Branch recent meetings

Wellington Branch held a luncheon meeting on the 6th of March 2017. The speaker was Margaret Hurst an experienced librarian from the Family History section of the National Library. She gave us an interesting and informative talk about her work and enlightened our members about the resources available to researchers. 

Wellington Branch held their 2017 Annual General Meeting on the 1st of May. Ruth Gotlieb spoke enthusiastically to us about the various committees she had worked on while a Wellington Council member. Every one enjoyed her company and the socialising over lunch.

HAWKE'S BAY FOUNDERS ANNUAL “MYSTERY TRIP”

On a sunny but fresh Autumn Day,  57 members of Hawkes Bay Branch ventured on, what has now become their annual “Mystery Trip”.  Members were amazed at the sea swell and massive waves along the coastline, both on the drive to our lunch stop at the Quality Inn on Marine Parade, Napier, and the journey along the highway north to Bay View.
