	20 September 2017 Hawke's Bay School Literary Competition A pilot essay competition organised by Founders Hawke’s Bay branch vice-president, Kath La Rooy and president, Paddy Bayley, is an attempt to encourage young people to take an interest in their family’s history, especially in relation to settlement in New Zealand. 13 August 2017 Canterbury-Westland Branch reopens The Canterbury-Westland Branch has started up again after being in remission since the Canterbury earthquake.
