Philatelist at Taranaki Branch June meeting

Philatelist at Taranaki Branch June meeting

Len Jury, our immediate Past President, is a Philatelist and on the morning of our meeting he offered to share with us 80 copy-safe pockets of his recent study, titled "All about Dairy Cows".

He arrived with display stands and with the help of wife Heather, also a loyal member, set up the show. His focus was on Cattle throughout the World with a focus on some local connections.

Hopefully, the selection of photos will demonstrate better the months, perhaps years, of work that Len put into this presentation.  His diligent attention to detail merited him with the Silver-Gold award recently in Sydney for this effort.

There was a wealth of information and memories as Len not only used stamps but also old postcards, documents and memorabilia.  Some examples being, cardboard milk bottle tops, an early 1900’s Sharemilker’s agreement, cartoons and old farming equipment……

CONGRATULATIONS LEN ON A WONDERFUL ACHIEVEMENT AND THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS INCREDIBLE DISPLAY WITH US ALL.
