In October, Hawke's Bay Founders met at a private residence for a very “ relaxed and social” outing.

On arrival the owner gave a short talk to members about many of the rare artefacts in his collection. Following a picnic lunch on the lawn of his historic home, they were entertained by a 20 minute NZ Tourism film from the 1970's. Everyone was amused how New Zealand scenic spots were shown to the rest of the world in the early days of Tourism.  

The museum tour to view an extensive private collection of antique cameras and cars was amazing and extremely interesting. This museum is certainly a “hidden gem”, and can be viewed by appointment only.
