	25 May 2017 Preserving local history a focus for Hawke’s Bay AGM Hawke’s Bay Founders members attending their 38^th AGM at Duart House, Havelock North, in early April, were treated to an excellent summary of their past year’s activities by their President, Paddy Bayley. 23 February 2017 Hawke's Bay Founders Day meeting 2017 English restoration project outlined for Hawke’s Bay Founders Nearly 100 Hawke’s Bay Founders members and guests met at Havelock North in early February for their Annual Founders Day Lunch. At the lunch, guest speaker, Michael La Rooy, formerly of Hawke’s Bay and now living with his family in England, gave an illustrated talk on just what is involved when restoration of a listed property is undertaken. 13 February 2017 NZ Founders Society AGM 17th June 2017 The 2017 AGM is being hosted by the Hawkes Bay Branch in Napier on 17th June 2017. Instead, at a unique winery, members were treated to learning about a modern-day example of the ‘can do’ and entrepreneurial spirit which guided our early New Zealand settlers.
